Great ‘off the ice’ experience
This was a great tour of the valley, walking through forests, seeing waterfalls and getting a glimpse at the Franz Josef Glacier (we had heavy rain and misty on the day so didn’t expect to see much). David, the guide, was friendly, informative and entertaining. If you’re looking for an off the ice experience with a friendly organisation then this is the tour for you!

Guided tour well worth it
Our tour guide was excellent - very friendly and approachable, giving good explanations of the glacier and its environs. It was good to get off the main track for a part of the tour.

Excellent sortie nature. Guide super
Nous étions 3. La guide nous a fait découvrir la forêt humide primaire en passant sur un petit sentier qui sort du chemin principal. Ensuite on marche hors sentier battu pour regarder les roches, failles, cascades... le rythme est tranquille, on découvre le glacier à l'écart de la horde de marcheurs qui sont obligés de suivre le chemin balisé. Rose était super, elle a été patiente avec notre fils . Elle nous a donné beaucoup d'infos sur le volcan et Nous avons eu d'autres discussions intéressantes. Elle est experte en géologie c'était fascinant. Bref nous avons adoré. En plus on a eu un chocolat chaud (pas terrible) et des petits gâteaux assis face au glacier.
