We did The Cursed Cabin at Escape Room Taupō as a family activity, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the spooky atmosphere had everyone excited (and a little nervous—in a fun way!). The set was super detailed, and the story really pulled us in.
The puzzles were challenging but totally doable as a team. Everyone—from the teens to the adults—had something to contribute, and it was such a great feeling to solve things together. It sparked lots of teamwork, communication, and laughs, especially when we got spooked by a few clever surprises.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure the experience was enjoyable and age-appropriate. It was the perfect mix of fun, mystery, and just the right amount of creepiness to keep things exciting without being too scary for younger family members.
Highly recommend The Cursed Cabin for families looking for something a bit different and a lot of fun. One of the highlights of our time in Taupō!
